The Dream Team of Animation and Visual Effects
What do Disney Animation, Double Negative, Industrial Light & Magic, Pixar, Rhythm & Hues, Weta Digital and Zoic Studios have in common besides gifted artists, NVIDIA GPUs and a shelf full of awards? That’s right - they will all be at the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) March 18-21 in San Jose. For aspiring artists looking to learn from the best in the world at the craft of animation and effects, to industry veterans looking to learn and share with other experts the latest in GPU technology and advanced applications, GTC will be the place to be. There will also be in-depth sessions from the makers of the most important tools for artists, animators and editors, including Adobe, Avid, Chaos Group, cebas, eyeon Software, Otoy, The Foundry, SGO and many more. It’s like fantasy camp for animators and effects artists.

But GTC isn’t just about visual effects.

Almost every graphic you see on television has been created with NVIDIA Quadro GPUs, and increasingly much of the content delivered to you on any one of three screens has been encoded or transcoded using NVIDIA GPUs, and the broadcast industry will be represented in full force. Companies like ARL, Cinnafilm, Digimetrics, Elemental Technologies, ESPN, Telestream, Unreel and Vizrt will be talking about the latest in visualization technologies for broadcast television and digital content management and distribution.
