Thank you for being part of our Media & Entertainment community. Over the past four weeks, NVIDIA has made three product announcements with special significance in M&E.

We introduced a new NVIDIA® Quadro® lineup which is designed to be at the center of media workflows, incorporating big data, Cloud, and mobile elements. Most of the new Quadro GPUs can render models at twice the size of previous generations, and can even handle 6K workflows.

We also announced the availability of the NVIDIA Visual Computing Appliance (VCA), which is a purpose-built solution for GPU rendering using NVIDIA Iray® or Chaos V-Ray RT. Through seamless integration with NVIDIA Quadro, and using the power of eight high-end NVIDIA GPUs per appliance, NVIDIA VCA is the fastest way to interactive, photorealistic digital models and scenes. You can learn more about both of these products below.

Finally, just last week at VMworld in San Francisco, NVIDIA, and VMware announced an early customer access program of NVIDIA GRID vGPU on VMware vSphere. GRID vGPU technology won a Best of VMworld 2014 Gold award, earning top marks in the "Desktop Virtualization & End-User Computing". NVIDIA, VMWare, and Google showed an important technology demonstration of high performance graphics applications being delivered to a Google Chromebook via NVIDIA GRID™. Imagine being able to run the Adobe CC suite or Autodesk Entertainment Creation Suite or any Windows application via an on- or off-premises cloud on a Chromebook.

We'll bring all of these exciting new technologies to customer events around the world throughout September and October, including IBC in Amsterdam later this month. We hope to see you and get a chance to learn directly from you how we can best accelerate your work. If you can't meet with us in person, please send us your thoughts.

The new NVIDIA® Quadro® is at the center of your visual computing workflow

At SIGGRAPH in Vancouver, we unveiled the next generation of NVIDIA® Quadro® GPUs, offering up to 2x the application performance and data-handling capability of the previous generation. The new Quadro lineup is at the center of new visual computing workflows, letting artists interact with their designs or data locally on a workstation, remotely on a mobile device, or in tandem with cloud-based services. Read more.

The new NVIDIA Quadro graphics cards are now available from PNY Authorized Resellers. Learn more.

NVIDIA Visual Computing Appliance (VCA) is now available

At SIGGRAPH, we also announced the newly shipping NVIDIA Visual Computing Appliance (VCA), which offers the fastest, easiest way to create photorealistic images of your designs. This is a scalable, network-attached GPU rendering appliance powered by eight high-end NVIDIA GPUs. Designers can now interact with their models or scenes in real time rather than waiting minutes, or even hours, for rendered images. Read more.
