SANTA CLARA, CA—JANUARY 27, 2005—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), a worldwide leader in graphics and digital media processors, today announced that its GeForce™ graphics processing units (GPUs) have won first-place awards in the “Reader’s Choice” and “Leading Installed Base” surveys sponsored by MicroComputer, one of China’s most influential technology publications. With approximately 100,000 participants participating in the surveys, the results demonstrate the growing popularity and market share of NVIDIA products in China.

“China represents a hotbed of innovation in end-user applications for PCs, notebooks, mobile phones, and other digital devices. As an exciting, dynamic market, China is absolutely key to our growth strategy and we are honored by the recognition from MicroComputer’s readership,” said Dan Vivoli, executive vice president of marketing, NVIDIA.

George Man, general manager of NVIDIA China, added, “The technology environment in China is extremely competitive. As a result, Chinese consumers are some of the most discerning in the world. The MicroComputer awards demonstrate strong grassroots support for NVIDIA products in this country.”

The awards are based on 101,896 qualified votes from readers of the magazine. In the “Leading Installed Base (GPU)” survey, participants were asked “Which GPU do you currently use?” In the “Reader’s Choice (GPU)” survey, participants were asked “Which GPU brand would you buy if you were thinking of purchasing a VGA card?”

“The market and brand leadership of NVIDIA is very solid indeed,” commented Xia Yi Ke, managing editor, MicroComputer Magazine. “The company revolutionized graphics on the PC and is now reaching into many new areas. The results of our readers’ survey speak for themselves.”

Mr. Xia noted that 2005 marks the seventh consecutive year that NVIDIA has won the Reader’s Choice Award for its GPUs. In addition to the GeForce awards, NVIDIA received recognition for the NVIDIA nForce™ family of media and communications processors (MCPs).
