NVIDIA Announces Broad nForce Compatibility & Support from Leading Memory Suppliers

SANTA CLARA, CA - DECEMBER 6, 2001 - Further evidence of the growing support of the Company's new platform initiatives, NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq:NVDA) announced today that the industry's leading memory suppliers have completed validation and compatibility testing of a broad array of DDR memory modules on the company's nForce™ Platform Processing Architecture. NVIDIA established an industry milestone by developing the first PC platform--nForce--to utilize a 128-bit Double Data Rate (DDR) Synchronous (SDRAM) memory architecture for both system and graphics memory. nForce's TwinBank™ Memory Architecture paired with 128-bit DDR SDRAM provides the highest memory bandwidth and performance on a desktop PC. NVIDIA enables customers to choose from a broad selection of DDR modules thoroughly and specifically tested for nForce compatibility from leading memory manufacturers and module suppliers including, but not limited to: Micron Technology, Samsung Semiconductor, Hynix Semiconductor, Infineon Technologies, Kingston Technology, Smart Modular Technologies, Crucial Technology and PNY Technologies.

NVIDIA selected Computer Memory Test Labs (CMTL) and Advanced Validation Labs (AVL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Kingston Technologies, to perform future compatibility tests on DDR modules for the nForce platform. Compatibility testing is designed to enable the widespread availability of cost-effective and reliable DDR modules to customers worldwide. nForce-compatible memory modules will be listed on the NVIDIA, CMTL and AVL Web sites in a format that allows customers easy access to DDR memory modules tested specifically for the nForce platform.
