SANTA CLARA, CA – MAY 18, 1999 – NVIDIA™ Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced that the RIVA TNT2™, measured to be the world's fastest graphics processor by Mercury Research, will be offered in the Prosignia 330 desktop PC from Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ). The RIVA TNT2, which is made available through the Diamond Viper™ V770 from Diamond Multimedia Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: DIMD), offers the ultimate in graphics performance and visual quality to Compaq end-users.

The Viper V770 Raises the Graphics Bar
Diamond's 16MB Viper V770 is available for AGP systems and features a second-generation single-chip 128-bit 3D processor from NVIDIA which is able to process two pixels per clock cycle, thus providing true single-pass multi-texturing for exceptional 3D realism. Scaleable 2D and 3D resolutions of up to 2048x1536, refresh rates up to 200HZ and an enhanced dual 32-bit color 3D pipeline all contribute to the Viper V770's phenomenal performance and visual quality.
