SANTA CLARA, CA - SEPTEMBER 30, 1999 – NVIDIA™ Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) announced today that the highly anticipated GeForce 256 Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is available as the standard graphics solution for Micron PC's (Nasdaq: MUEI) new Millennia Max® 600B and 533B line of desktop computer systems. With this introduction, Micron is delivering the industry's first GPU-based graphics systems to use 133 megahertz (MHz) memory and the first with powerful AGP 4X graphics. The 32MB GeForce 256 board will be made available through Creative Labs.

End-users will have the ability to experience a new 3D medium featuring rich, dynamic and lifelike worlds and characters, as well as the ability to synthesize amazingly realistic environments with objects that behave according to complex physics and intelligent characters with lifelike personality.

GeForce 256 supports up to 128MB of frame buffer memory, AGP 4X with Fast Writes – a unique feature in GeForce 256 – and a 350MHz RAMDAC to drive the most extreme resolutions and color depths, up to 2048 x 1536 @ 75Hz. In addition to DirectX support, the GeForce 256 GPU provides full support for an OpenGL® Installable Client Driver (ICD) for Windows® 2000 and Windows NT®.
