Leading 3D Graphics Processor Company Adds New CFO, VP of Product Marketing and VP of Corporate Marketing to its Executive Management Team

SUNNYVALE, Calif. - January 20, 1998 - NVIDIA™ Corporation today announced the addition of three industry veterans to its management team. The appointments include Geoff Ribar, chief financial officer; Lew Paceley, vice president of corporate marketing; and Dan Vivoli, vice pres+- experience from companies such as Silicon Graphics, Intel, AMD, Hewlett-Packard and Cyrix. All will report to Jen-Hsun Huang, NVIDIA president and CEO.
"NVIDIA has made great strides over the past year in moving to the top of the 3D processor market and staking its claim as the leader for the performance mainstream market segment," said Huang. "Lew and Dan's extensive background in the marketing of exciting, innovative products for both the consumer and OEM markets, combined with Geoff's strong financial background in the semiconductor world, will help the company continue this leadership role."
Geoff Ribar, Chief Financial Officer
As CFO, Ribar will be responsible for NVIDIA's financial strategy, planning and operations, including investor relations, legal and human resources. Prior to joining NVIDIA, Ribar was the vice president and corporate controller at Advanced Micro Devices, where he managed an organization of over 300 individuals and was responsible for all controllership functions. Ribar also played a key role in the $550 million acquisition of NexGen Inc. Ribar earned both a MBA and BS degree in chemistry from the University of Michigan.
Lew Paceley, Vice President of Corporate Marketing
At NVIDIA, Paceley will oversee the company's marketing, public relations, industry events, brand and channel activities. Paceley brings 18 years of experience in engineering, sales and leading-edge areas of marketing to NVIDIA. Prior to joining the company, Paceley served as the vice president of marketing at Cyrix. Before joining Cyrix, Paceley enjoyed over 13 years of success at Intel. While at Intel, Paceley held various marketing director and product line positions, and most recently was responsible for marketing the Pentium® Pro. Paceley earned an MSE from the University of Michigan and a BE from Vanderbilt University.
Dan Vivoli, Vice President of Product Marketing
As the vice president of product marketing, Vivoli will oversee all strategic marketing for the RIVA processor product line and all future NVIDIA products. Vivoli brings over 15 years of business and market development and high-tech product marketing to NVIDIA. Vivoli spent the past nine years at Silicon Graphics, most recently as vice president of marketing of the Visual Systems division. There, Vivoli was responsible for $1.6 billion graphic business, including all aspects of product management, business development, technical marketing, market development and strategic planning. Prior to joining SGI, Vivoli spent six years with Hewlett-Packard where he held a number of positions in the Technical Computer Group and the Data Systems Division. Vivoli earned a MBA from Santa Clara University and a BSEE from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
