BEIJING — MAY 8, 2002 — NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced that its new GeForce4(TM) 420 Go mobile Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) has been chosen as the standard offering in the Legend Soleil V80 notebook PC, now available in China.  The addition of the GeForce4 mobile GPU to the Legend product line—following the adoption of the GeForce4 GPU in Legend’s business and home desktop PCs—further exemplifies the technology leadership and strong brand recognition of NVIDIA’s products in China.

NVIDIA’s GeForce4 420 Go mobile GPU uses NVIDIA’s PowerMizer technology that dynamically adapts to changing computing environments and controls power consumption for the entire platform.  PowerMizer’s support for automatic frequency and voltage scaling minimizes power consumption to maximize overall battery life.  Dedicated hardware, including an integrated Video Processing Engine (VPE), Accuview™ Antialiasing engine, and Lightspeed Memory Architecture, ensures end users of the fastest computing and most extraordinary graphics processing capability experience ever realized on a mobile PC platform.

The newly announced Legend Soleil V80 notebook adopts Intel®’s latest Pentium® 4 Processor - M CPU, the highest-performance mobile processor currently available in the world, achieving the highest peak performance ever realized in mobile computing.  In addition to the core computing performance and outstanding graphics processing capability, the Legend Soleil V80 notebook also integrates traditional network application modules such as modem and Ethernet.  It also reserves the legacy infrared interface, embodies the Bluetooth module interface and WLAN interface, providing users with secure and convenient Bluetooth and Mini PCI solutions.  The Legend Soleil V80 notebook also incorporates a dedicated WLAN antenna at its LCD side to enable easier WLAN application.
