FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

NAPLES, FLORIDA — GO MOBILE SPRING 2002 — MAY 21, 2002 — NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced that its GeForce2™ Go Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) has received the award for “Best Mobile Component” of 2001 from Mobile Insights, a leading analyst firm based in Mountain View, CA.  Recognizing the top mobile and wireless products as selected by leading industry press and analysts, the awards were announced on May 19th at the Mobile Insights’ seventh annual awards dinner held at the 2002 Go Mobile conference in Naples Florida.

“With NVIDIA’s GeForce Go™ series of mobile GPUs, notebooks can finally boast the same level of graphics processing power as their desktop counterparts, easily handling desktop-intensive multimedia presentations, immersive 3D games, and productivity-enhancing multi-monitor configurations,” said Dan Vivoli, vice president of marketing for NVIDIA.  “We're pleased that such a distinguished panel of industry analysts and media recognize NVIDIA and our GeForce2 Go GPU as the catalyst which spurred a revolution in mobile computing.”

“We are thrilled to announce that NVIDIA has captured highest honors in the component category,” said J. Gerry Purdy, Ph.D., president and CEO of Mobile Insights, Inc.  “With the introduction of the GeForce Go series of GPUs, NVIDIA has delivered the performance, feature set and functionality that the mobile space has been lacking.”

Setting new standards for mobile 2D, 3D and multimedia graphics performance, the GeForce Go series is the first family of mobile graphics processors to deliver breakthrough 3D rendering power and outstanding performance across a variety of mobile platforms.  Following on the outstanding success of the GeForce2 Go, NVIDIA's flagship mobile product, GeForce™ 4 Go boasts performance up to ten times faster than typical notebook graphics.  By combining NVIDIA’s superior graphic technologies with dynamic, industry-low power consumption using NVIDIA’s PowerMizer™ Power Saving Technology, the GeForce Go series of GPUs has raised the graphics performance bar in notebooks to levels that were previously thought impossible.  NVIDIA’s mobile solutions also provide a full feature set previously only available on desktop GPUs, including per-pixel shading; Digital Vibrance Control™ for clean, bright, crisp visuals; the flexibility of multiple displays courtesy of NVIDIA’s nView™ Multi-display Technology; and NVIDIA’s Unified Driver Architecture.
