FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
SANTA CLARA, CA — MAY 30, 2002 — NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced that the NVIDIA Quadro®4 900 XGL professional workstation graphics solution was named a 2002 CADALYST Labs All-Star award winner in the June issue of CADALYST magazine. CADALYST Labs reviewed the Quadro4 900 XGL graphics board previously using its standard suite of three benchmarks—C2001, MAXbench and ProCDRS-03—and gave it a Five Star Highly Recommended Rating (http://www.cadalyst.com/reviews/hardware/0502gcards/quadro4xgl.htm). In these CADALYST Labs tests, Quadro4 900 XGL demonstrated performance substantially faster than previously achieved top scores.
“NVIDIA’s Quadro4 900 XGL is undisputedly the 3D graphics performance leader in the professional CAD market,” said Art Liddle, editor-in-chief of CADALYST. “It’s the fastest 3D card we’ve ever tested and earned our all-star award by obliterating the all-time record for each of the three benchmarks that make up the CADALYST Labs’ test suite of 3D MCAD and DCC applications. We only extend this award to products that raise the standard of excellence in their respective categories. NVIDIA’s Quadro4 900 XGL does just that by decisively leading professional 3D OpenGLÒ performance.”
Last February, NVIDIA’s Quadro4 900 XGL graphics solution became the first workstation graphics solution to break a score of 100 in the ProCDRS-03 test with a staggering result of 103.
In the new SPECviewperf 7.0 benchmark tests, NVIDIA Quadro4 graphics solutions delivered the highest performance results on the 3ds max-01, Light-04 and Ugs-01 tests, and decimated the competition with the best price performance results across all of the SPECapc and SPECviewperf 7.0 benchmarks. These results are published by the Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation’s Graphics Performance Characterization (SPEC/GPC) group at www.spec.org/gpc/.
“We are honored to be recognized by CADALYST for our tremendous application performance,” said Dan Vivoli, vice president of marketing at NVIDIA. “In addition to leading performance, we’ve added other features such as multi-display support, quad-buffered stereo support and advanced shader operations to ensure that the Quadro4 XGL series offers the ideal solution for every workstation user.”
The Quadro4 family is a complete, top-to-bottom family of workstation graphics solutions comprised of the Quadro4 XGL series for 3D computer-aided design and digital content creation applications, and the Quadro4 NVS series for industry-leading acceleration of professional 2D applications. NVIDIA’s Quadro4 graphics boards are available worldwide from a variety of workstation OEMs and channel partners, including: Compaq Computer Corporation, Dell, Fujitsu Siemens Computers, Hewlett-Packard Company, IBM, Boxx Technology, Colfax International, DigitalScape, LT Micro/The 3D Shop, Max Black Systems, MaxVision, PNY Technologies and Tristar International.
