For Immediate Release:

LONDON, ENGLAND AND SANTA CLARA, CA—SEPTEMBER 25, 2002—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced that 4MBO International Electronics AG has selected the NVIDIA® GeForce(TM)4 MX 440 with AGP 8X graphics processing unit (GPU) for inclusion in the company’s 4MBO P.C.V.O (“Volks-PC”) AGP 8X computer systems.  The addition of AGP 8X support to the highly integrated GeForce4 MX GPU family provides increased performance and ensures that mainstream PC platform customers can take advantage of the latest graphics technology in 3D games and applications.

“4MBO’s unique business model allows them to be one of the first OEMs to introduce systems featuring the new AGP 8X standard—clearly illustrating why they have been so successful in the competitive PC market in Europe,” said Jeff Fisher, executive vice president of worldwide sales at NVIDIA.  “NVIDIA has improved the award-winning performance of the GeForce4 MX product line by taking advantage of the extra bandwidth that AGP 8X provides.”

“After evaluating all of the graphics options available for our initial AGP 8X systems, we felt that NVIDIA offered the most complete solution,” said Christof Klein, chief operating officer at 4MBO.  “Along with great performance, the GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP 8X demonstrates the reliability and stability required to assure a smooth transition to this exciting new AGP bus technology.”

The NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP 8X GPU enables the performance necessary to enjoy state-of-the-art graphics and the most realistic visual environments on today’s 3D games and applications.  The GeForce4 MX’s dedicated video processing engine (VPE) facilitates smooth video streaming and flawless DVD playback.  GeForce4 MX GPUs also feature NVIDIA’s nView(TM), a hardware and software display technology that provides the ultimate in multiple display flexibility and end-user control.  By incorporating NVIDIA’s innovative nView display technology with NVIDIA’s highly efficient Lightspeed Memory Architecture (LMA) II, and advanced Accuview Antialiasing(TM) technology, the GeForce4 MX GPUs represent the most feature-rich, cost-effective, and highly integrated family of GPUs available for the mainstream market.
