COMPUTEX 2006—TAIPEI, TAIWAN—JUNE 7, 2006—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced a reference design with Intel Corporation that will provide device manufacturers with a fast and easy solution for bringing powerful, media-rich handheld devices to market based on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.

This announcement comes after the two companies recently announced a cooperative effort to deliver a powerful development platform to content developers based on NVIDIA MobileMedia platform technology and Intel Corporation’s newest processor family (codenamed Monahans), based on the third-generation Intel XScale® microarchitecture. The two announcements contribute to the establishment of a standardized platform that will deliver a compelling and tangible improvement to the overall end-user experience of mobile multimedia services and applications.
