Vennessa Hasten FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: SANTA CLARA, CA—APRIL 16, 2007—NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in programmable graphics processor technologies, today announced the recipients of the prestigious NVIDIA Fellowship award for the 2007-2008 academic year. Now in its 6th year, the NVIDIA Fellowship Program attracts researchers and scientists from all over the world. NVIDIA Chief Scientist Dr. David Kirk heads the committee which selects the award recipients. "The NVIDIA Fellowship award program stimulates and supports excellence in graphics and computing research in universities worldwide, fostering communication and innovation between NVIDIA's R&D team and outstanding students and professors," stated Dr. Kirk. "We are delighted with the quality of this year's recipients and look forward to working with them." Congratulations to the 2007 Fellowship recipients: Pravin Bhat, University of Washington; Nuttapong Chentanez, University of California at Berkeley; Seth Cooper, University of Washington; Kayvon Fatahalian, Stanford University; Jared Hoberock, University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign; Won-Ki Jeong, University of Utah; Jacob Leverich, Stanford University; Veynu Narasiman, University of Texas, Austin; Jonathan Ragan-Kelley, Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Shubhabrata Sengupta, University of California Davis; Jay Steele, Clemson University; and Jerry Talton, Stanford University. The Fellowship program is open to applicants worldwide. Eligibility criteria includes completion of the first year of Ph.D. level studies and a major in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, System Architecture, Electrical Engineering, or a related area. In addition, the student must hold a current membership on an active research team. Recipients this year will receive $25,000 to further their research.
