DALLAS, TX and SANTA CLARA, CA—SEPTEMBER 9, 2003—CompUSA Inc., Where America Buys Technology(TM), and NVIDIA Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the worldwide leader in visual processing solutions, today announced a relationship in which the companies will sponsor professional gamers Team 3D.  The champion gamers will compete in key gaming competitions around the globe, including next month’s World Cyber Games championships in Korea, where the team will represent the US in the “Counter-Strike” finals and compete for a piece of a $350,000 grand prize.  This sponsorship makes Team 3D one of the first team of gamers to receive recognition and sponsorship dollars from major corporations, lending further credibility to the sport of video gaming.

Hailed as one of the best “Counter-Strike” teams in North America, Team 3D track record has netted them major title wins from organizations including the Cyberathlete Professional League. As part of the sponsorship, Team 3D will be equipped with PCs powered by NVIDIA® GeForce™ FX graphics processing units (GPUs) and NVIDIA nForce2™ platform processors, provided by Shuttle Computer, which they will use as competitive equipment at major gaming tournaments around the world. 

The six-man Team 3D roster includes:  David “moto” Geffon of Chatsworth, Calif., Ronald “Rambo” Kim of Dallas, Texas, Kyle “Ksharp” Miller of Mclean, Virginia, and Sean “Bullseye” Morgan of Denton, Texas, Ognian “Steel” Gueorguiev of Montreal, Canada and Johnny “Boms” Quach of Rosemead, CA
