Vasily Volkov
Vasily is a third year doctoral student in computer science in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He studies under Prof. James Demmel and is interested in high-performance computing and numerical linear algebra. He participates in the ongoing LAPACK activities and is a member of the Berkeley Benchmarking and Optimization group (BeBOP) and the Parallel Computing Laboratory (ParLab). He received B.S. and M.S. degrees in applied mathematics and physics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and M.Eng. degree in computer engineering from the Nanyang Technological University.
