Mr. Charlès is a highly-regarded pioneer in the field of industrial design and visual computing. Since becoming president of Dassault Systèmes in 1995, Bernard Charlès has expanded the company's reach beyond its roots in 3D computer-aided design (CAD) to encompass the more strategic concept of product lifecycle management (PLM). In particular, Mr. Charlès has been instrumental in the aviation industry’s transition to designing aircraft digitally, without physical prototyping.
