The flexible, remote power of the NVIDIA VCA is demonstrated here with numerous professional applications running NVIDIA Iray. This station shows the new NVIDIA Quadro® K5200 powering sessions of Autodesk Maya and 3ds Max, Dassault Systèmes Bunkspeed, and Rhino, which then connect to a remote cluster of NVIDIA VCAs to supercharge their Iray rendering workflow using more than 100 GPUs. Unlike other cluster solutions, the interactive quality of Iray improves with each additional VCA, delivering noise-free, physically based global illumination with a large enough installation.

NVIDIA® 3D Painting

Come explore NVIDIA Tegra accelerated 3D painting. NVIDIA will show the unprecedented power of the Tegra K1 and its NVIDIA Kepler GPU with 192 NVIDIA CUDA® cores, to enable artists to put stylus to screen the same natural way they would put paint brush to paper. We use natural physics to enable watercolors to naturally bleed and blend, and move with gravity. Oil paintings show real thicknesses and textures that reflect back in a startlingly realistic manner as lighting and angles shift.



This demonstration uncouples traditional virtual-camera capabilities from the limitations of stage environments that require tracking markers and motion-capture cameras. Filmmakers and content creators can now interactively visualize CGI assets composited into a live-action set, enabling effective shot placement.

Witness the robot-vision capabilities of Google’s Project-Tango tablet, powered by the NVIDIA® Tegra® K1 processor and NVIDIA Quadro® GPU rendering power with NVIDIA GRID technologies. The position of the camera is transferred to a 3D renderer or DCC application, rendered by Quadro, video-encoded by GRID technologies, and streamed back to the tablet with low latency. This enables a director or DP to walk through live-action set and performances, tablet in hand, while seeing fluid updates and progressive refinement of CGI elements


Real-Time Bursting 3D Display: Interactive Multi-GPU Compositing for Ultra HD Glasses-Free 3D Screen

Explore this unique display technology from NVIDIA and FashionLab—the Dassault Systèmes technology incubator dedicated to fashion and luxury—teaming with watch designer François Quentin and ALIOSCOPY, pioneer and manufacturer of glasses-free 3D visualization solutions. This is a real-time bursting 3D Showcase powered by the Dassault Systèmes CATIA 3D modeler and rendering engine on multi-GPU hardware designed by NVIDIA.

Five NVIDIA® Quadro® K6000 GPUs render different viewpoints, each captured and blended on a sixth Quadro K6000 to render in real-time the 3D ALIOSCOPY composited image. A dedicated iOS app allows interaction with the 3D model in real time, as well as realistic animations. This unique Proof of Concept enables a mobile 3D immersive experience that lets everyone from creator design to consumer point-of-sale showcases smoothly interact in real-time with enriched realistic 3D content or play with a unique “inside out” user experience. Some features of this technology demonstration will be integrated in commercial versions in the coming release of CATIA from Dassault Systèmes.
