 | It combines a strong feature set with powerful performance and Nvidia's legendary drivers. It provides for future design within applications by featuring programmable pixel/vertex shaders, which though available now, (Max4, Maya4, XSI 2.0 will only become more refined in the future. Because of its features, support, and cost, I give the Quadro DCC my highest recommendation for a 3dsmax workstation card. There is no better solution for the price.
| | "The nVidia Quadro DCC is an awesome professional grade graphics card that can make 3D animators very happy. It is blazing fast, certified for the major 3D applications and has advanced capabilities such as the pixel and vertex shaders that turn your creative process into a brand new experience. nVIDIA is a great company that keeps developing revolutionary products at very reasonable prices. Once again they are shaking the industry with the release of the Quadro DCC, a wonderful product that I can’t recommend highly enough."
| | Finally, what makes the Quadro DCC shine is it's nFiniteFX engine that allows cg software such as Maya 4 and 3ds max 4 to get realtime preview of FX such as fog, true reflective bump mapping and more. The engine when combined with the programmable pixel and vertex shaders enhances realism in character animation allowing to get highly realistic skin and cloth textures.
| | "Essentially, this gives you a true WYSIWYG environment, as what you see in the development environment is what you will get on an end-user's machine...... If you're producing 3D content for the XBox or DirectX 8 applications and games, this card is a must. "
| | "The Quadro DCC is a well-balanced, high-quality graphics card.... Its polygon pushing power is immense, as was demonstrated at SIGGRAPH where it was used to run scenes from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within in real-time. "
