# The Making of Kök Börü: Where Untold Stories Find New Pipelines

## Abstract

Kök Börü is a hybrid hand-drawn and AI-integrated animated short that brings a rare Central Asian story to life, one that traditional studio greenlight processes often overlook. In this panel, the creative team pulls back the curtain on their artist-first pipeline, commenting on how to meaningfully integrate AI tools to augment rather than replace traditional craftsmanship. They will share unfiltered budget, team, and timeline metrics, offering a transparent, honest account of what worked, what broke, and how they built an unconventional production model from the ground up.
