Manage GPU Performance Counters - Reference

The Manage GPU Performance Counters page lets administrator users control the availability of GPU performance counters. GPU performance counters are needed by developers in order to use NVIDIA developer tools such as CUPTI, Nsight Graphics, and Nsight Compute. By default, access to GPU performance counters is disabled for all non-admin users for security reasons.

Restrict access to the GPU performance counters to admin users only

GPU performance counters, and by extension NVIDIA developer tools, are not available to non-admin users.

Allow access to the GPU performance counters to all users

GPU performance counters, and by extension NVIDIA developer tools, are available to non-admin users. Select this option for developers who need to use NVIDIA developer tools.

Note: These settings may not persist if GPUs are added or removed from the system.
