Note: Smart Clone requires Windows 7 or later operating system.
NVIDIA Smart Clone provides the following advanced clone mode functionalities:
Pixel-perfect clone mode is similar to regular Clone mode except that the two displays are different resolutions. One display is designated the source clone display. The second display shows a cropped section of the cloned source display. You can also enable panning the entire image on the second display.
The following are some conditions that apply to pixel-perfect (pan and scan) clone mode:
Pan and scan clone mode is available only with NVIDIA Quadro 6000/5000/4000/2000/600 and later products.
Only two displays can be used in a pan and scan clone mode pair, and they must be connected to the same GPU - even with SLI systems.
Multiple pan and scan clone mode pairs can be enabled at a time, depending on the capabilities of the GPU.
Pan and scan clone mode cannot be applied to displays if both displays are the same resolution.
Pan and scan clone mode cannot be applied if two displays in the system are already enabled in Clone mode.
Grayscale displays cannot be used as the secondary display in a pan and scan clone mode pair.
See To pan and scan cloned displays (Windows 7 and later) for instructions on how to set up this feature.
You can designate a section of a Smart Clone source display to be cloned and locked. With scaled clone, you cannot dynamically pan the area.
This feature is available only with NVIDIA Quadro 2000 and later products, and NVIDIA Quadro K2000 and later products.
NOTE: Unlike pixel-perfect clone, the scaled clone feature is not supported on Quadro 600 or K600 products.
See To lock a clone region for instructions on how to set up this feature.
