Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2: First Ever Ray-Traced Trailer and Screenshots Revealed

2004’s Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines is a classic RPG, famed for its excellent writing and branching gameplay. In March, Paradox Interactive announced Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, the highly anticipated sequel, which promises to build upon everything fans of the original know and love. In the same breath, Paradox also announced a partnership with NVIDIA to bring realistic real-time ray-traced effects to the game, enhancing image quality and immersion.

Together with Bloodlines 2 publisher Paradox Interactive and developer Hardsuit Labs, we can now exclusively reveal the first ever Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 ray-traced gameplay and screenshots, giving gamers an early look at real-time ray-traced reflections.

In the video and screenshots, all suitable surfaces accurately reflect surrounding detail in real-time. The look of each reflection is determined by the properties of the material on the affected object or surface. And in the case of windows, reflections have full transparency, enabling you to see detail beyond the glass, as well as the reflection itself, as in the real world.

Beyond ray tracing, we’re also adding NVIDIA DLSS, another Turing-architecture technology that utilizes the Tensor Cores in GeForce RTX 20-Series graphics cards to boost your frame rates in graphically-intensive games. With DLSS enabled, gamers can use higher resolutions and game settings while still enjoying fast and smooth framerates.
