Global Citizenship Report – FY2010

Ecosystem Partnerships

Ecosystem Partnerships

Through our ecosystem partnerships, we work with business partners, suppliers and customers to help communities obtain resources that would otherwise be difficult for them to access. Here are some examples of projects that benefitted in 2009 from these partnerships:

Santa Clara Project Inspire: McKinley Elementary, San Jose
For the 2009 Santa Clara Project Inspire, Fairmont Hotels donated 10 percent of the revenue we brought them during our industry conference, making them a sponsor for the next three years. Adobe helped teach youth about multimedia production, which it also did the previous year for our 2008 Santa Clara Project Inspire at Overfelt High School in East San Jose, Calif.

Algiers Technology School, New Orleans
We worked with several industry partners and customers to build a multimedia academy at Algiers Technology School in New Orleans. The NVIDIA Foundation donated $10,000, and we also held a Bourbon Street Bash that raised $2,500 from SIGGRAPH conference attendees.

International Association for Advanced Visualization Centers, USA
We offer customers a discount on Quadro products if they donate their older Quadro boards to the NVIDIA Foundation. In 2009, customer WSI provided the Foundation with 12 boards that we donated to International Association for Advanced Visualization Centers to be used for multimedia vocational training for disabled veterans.
