Thank you for being part of the NVIDIA Media & Entertainment community.

You don't have to attend IBC in Amsterdam to feel the impact of the show. Software and hardware vendors worldwide use IBC as a launchpad for new products and technologies. This means our customers have a lot of exciting new tools and capabilities available to them.

Perhaps most importantly to NVIDIA, our partners Dell, HP, and Lenovo have announced a range of powerful new workstations – all equipped with the new line of NVIDIA Quadro GPUs. The latest systems run M&E applications significantly faster than the previous models of even one year ago, so they are worth checking out if you need to speed up your workflow.

Below you'll find more information on some of the new software offerings available to you. Let us know what you think or write to us if we can be helpful to you at mediafeedback@nvidia.com.

SPOTLIGHT

NVIDIA at IBC 2014

At IBC in Amsterdam this year, we showcased next-generation capabilities across NVIDIA GRID™, Quadro®, and Tesla® professional solutions.

We demonstrated a unique virtual camera technology showing how a filmmaker, tablet in hand, can walk through a live-action set and record actors as they perform, while simultaneously seeing fluid updates of computer-generated elements within the shot. This is enabled by an NVIDIA Tegra® K1-powered tablet, which connects to an NVIDIA Quadro-powered rendering application and streams computer-generated elements back to the tablet using NVIDIA GRID technology. We also showcased the latest NVIDIA Quadro GPUs, the newly shipping NVIDIA Visual Computing Appliance (VCA), and NVIDIA GRID vGPU™ technology. Read more on the NVIDIA blog.

Animation World Network, Creative Cow, and TVBEurope covered NVIDIA's presence at IBC. For more, watch an interview with Greg Estes at IBC on next-generation NVIDIA Quadro GPUs and new capabilities in mobile and cloud collaboration.

NVIDIA VCA awarded by IBC and HPA

We're proud to announce that NVIDIA VCA recently received two awards – NewBay Media's "Best of Show" at IBC and Hollywood Post Alliance's Engineering Excellence Award.

Available now for order in the USA and Europe, NVIDIA VCA is a turnkey, network-attached GPU rendering appliance for the data center. It provides added GPU-rendering horsepower to anyone on the network using Iray or V-Ray RT in their VFX pipeline. VCA is perfect for VFX and animation houses working on 3D projects. Learn more.
