Forza Horizon 5 DLSS 3 Update Released, More DLSS Games Available This Week

DLSS is now available in over 280 games and apps, and that number keeps growing pretty much every week. How fast is DLSS being adopted, you ask? DLSS 3 is now accelerating performance in 29 released games, an adoption rate 7X faster than that of DLSS 2’s in the 6 months of release.

This week, DLSS 3 comes to Forza Horizon 5, and DLSS 2 will be available at launch in Gripper, The Last of Us Part I, and Smalland: Survive The Wilds. And last week, DLSS 2 was available at launch in Deceive Inc. and Tchia!

Forza Horizon 5 DLSS 3 Update Available Now

Playground Games’ Forza Horizon 5 is one of the best-rated open-world racing games of all time, enabling players to blast through a highly-detailed and authentic Mexico setting, in everything from everyday vehicles to the world’s greatest hypercars.

Today, a new update races onto PCs everywhere, bringing with it support for NVIDIA DLSS 3 and NVIDIA Reflex. When activated, DLSS 3 enables GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs to break the 120 FPS barrier at 4K.

With tomorrow’s launch of the Rally Adventure expansion, now’s the perfect time to jump back behind the wheel, or to dive into Forza Horizon 5 for the very first time. And with DLSS 3, DLSS 2, and NVIDIA Reflex at your fingertips, GeForce RTX gamers will receive the definitive Forza Horizon 5 experience, enhanced with extreme-quality ray-traced car reflections on PC.

DLSS Frame Generation Available Now For All Developers

DLSS Frame Generation is now publicly available for developers to integrate into their games and applications. The public release of our DLSS Frame Generation plugins will allow even more developers to adopt the framerate-boosting technology.

DLSS Frame Generation is now also available to access via NVIDIA Streamline, an open-source, cross-vendor framework that simplifies the integration of super resolution technologies in 3D games and apps.

DLSS technology is always improving through ongoing training on NVIDIA’s AI supercomputer; and the public release will incorporate the latest DLSS enhancements made earlier this year, including:

  • DLSS Frame Generation takes better advantage of game engine data, improving UI stability and image quality during fast movement
  • DLSS Super Resolution improves Ultra Performance mode, with finer detail stability and overall better image quality
  • DLAA improves image quality, reduces ghosting, and improves edge smoothness in high-contrast scenarios

NVIDIA ICAT Adds Video Import & Export Enhancements

The NVIDIA Image Comparison and Analysis Tool (ICAT) helps anyone quickly analyze image quality between screenshots and videos, and works on any Windows PC. With the latest update, we now support HEVC format videos for comparison, and the ability to export your analysis as a video file.

NVIDIA ICAT allows users to easily compare up to 4 screenshots or videos with sliders, side-by-sides, and pixel peeping zoom-ins. Align comparisons spatially and temporally, examine the differences, and draw your conclusions.

DLSS 2 Available This Week In Another 3 Games

With DLSS 2 plugins available for both Unreal and Unity, and integration documentation available publicly from the NVIDIA Developer webpage, DLSS 2 can be added to games in as little as a day, giving millions of GeForce RTX gamers a superior experience. This ease of integration and massive install base make it a no-brainer for developers to incorporate, leading to a massive surge in DLSS 2 adoption, in everything from AAA blockbusters to indie titles developed by a single person.

This week, DLSS 2 arrives in another 3 games, following its release in Deceive Inc. and Tchia last week. Here’s a quick roundup of all the new additions.

Gripper

Enter the burnout seat of None, a cyber biker who is stuck inside a collapsing world. Race through post-apocalyptic landscapes connected by treacherous tunnels. Explore dead lands with the help of your mechanized cat buddy. Ride, slide and dodge as you master the Gripper’s unique bike movement and combat mechanics. Go wheel-to-wheel with murderous monster trucks, giant arachnids, mechanized titans, and screen-shattering snakes. Crush them, rip out their weapons and turn the tables using your new destructive arsenal. Geforce RTX gamers can experience Gripper with DLSS 2 on March 29th.

Deceive Inc.

Go undercover as the world’s greatest spies in this tense multiplayer game of subterfuge, launched last week with day-one DLSS 2 support. Disguise as anyone, deploy an arsenal of high-tech gadgets to sneak your way to success, or neutralize the competition. As long as you extract with the objective, no trick is too dirty when you work for Deceive Inc.

Smalland: Survive the Wilds

Experience a big adventure on a tiny scale, in Merge Games’ Smalland: Survive the Wilds, a single-player and co-op survival and building game set in a world where you’re even smaller than an insect, making you a tempting meal. Launching March 29th in Early Access, GeForce RTX gamers can benefit from DLSS 2 support from day one.

Tchia

Join Tchia on her tropical open-world adventure, which launched March 21st with DLSS 2, as she sets off to rescue her father from the cruel tyrant, Meavora, ruler of the archipelago. Climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around beautiful islands as you explore a physics-driven sandbox. Face the fabric soldiers created by Meavora in open encounters where your creativity gives you the edge. Take control of any animal or object you can find, make new friends and jam on your fully playable Ukulele.

The Last of Us Part I

The critically acclaimed game arrives on PC March 28th, featuring support for DLSS 2.
