NVIDIA BlueField is a data processing unit (DPU). It is an advanced infrastructure processor for gigascale AI factories, providing powerful computing, up to 800 Gb/s throughput, with accelerated multi-tenant networking, in-silicon security, and AI-native storage. BlueField also provides out-of-band security for AI agents at scale, as part of the NVIDIA Open Agent Safety Platform.
A DPU is a programmable infrastructure processor that combines a high-performance CPU, a high-speed network interface, and flexible hardware acceleration engines. NVIDIA BlueField is NVIDIA’s DPU—designed to offload, accelerate, and isolate infrastructure services from the host, including high-performance multi-tenant networking, AI-native storage, and in-silicon security.
NVIDIA DOCA is the unified software platform that unlocks the full potential of the NVIDIA BlueField DPU and NVIDIA ConnectX SuperNIC™ for agentic AI infrastructure. It provides SDKs, libraries, production-ready microservices, and orchestration frameworks to build and operate accelerated infrastructure services—including networking, AI-native storage, in-silicon security, telemetry, and lifecycle management.
