GTC organizers are committed to creating a safe experience and will not tolerate harassment or discrimination of conference participants in any form.

If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, want to file a complaint, or have any other concerns, please contact any member of our conference staff immediately.

Forms of harassment and discriminatory behavior include but are not limited to:

  • Sexual language and imagery
  • Sexist, racist, and exclusionary jokes, and acts that insult or belittle other participants in any way
  • Offensive verbal comments
  • Deliberate intimidation
  • Stalking and following
  • Harassing photography or recording
  • Inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention
  • Sustained disruption of talks or other events

We expect participants to follow these rules at all conference venues and conference-related social events.

Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference with no refund.

Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact hotel/venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. We value your attendance.
