Research: De-An’s research goal is to develop learning algorithms that enable robots to perform real-world tasks from video demonstrations. In particular, he has been working on video understanding models that can extract executable representations from video demonstrations and online instructional videos. Bio: De-An is a 4th year CS PhD student at Stanford working with Fei-Fei Li and Juan Carlos Niebles. Before coming to Stanford, he has worked with Kris Kitani during his masters at Carnegie Mellon University, and Yu-Chiang Frank Wang during his undergrad at National Taiwan University. He has interned at Facebook Applied Machine Learning, Microsoft Research Redmond, and Disney Research Pittsburgh.
