DLSS 4 Multiplies Performance In Death Relives & The First Descendant

More than 800 games and applications feature RTX technologies, and each week new games integrating NVIDIA DLSS, NVIDIA Reflex, and advanced ray-traced effects are released or announced, delivering the definitive PC experience for GeForce RTX players.

Last week, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Dead Take, and Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma were the latest games to add support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, multiplying frame rates. This week, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation comes to Death Relieves and The First Descendant.

And GeForce heads to QuakeCon 2025 this weekend with DOOM: The Dark Ages custom PCs, RTX game demos, and cool prizes! Read on for all the details.

The First Descendant Season 3 Launches August 7th, Featuring DLSS 4 With Multi Frame Generation

The First Descendant is a free, third-person cooperative action-RPG shooter powered by Unreal Engine 5. Experience the fun of strategic boss fights through multiplayer co-op, using an extensive range of unique characters, with exciting gunplay, and looting. Battle through the engrossing story, and tackle World Missions against huge bosses in The First Descendant.

Season 3, “Breakthrough”, launches August 7th, adding a massive new open area to explore and fight in, a new 8-player Field Colossus Raid, a new hoverbike mount to make traversing large areas faster, and a crossover with the much-loved action RPG NieR:Automata.

Already, The First Descendant included support for DLSS Frame Generation, DLSS Super Resolution, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLAA, Reflex, and several ray-traced effects, giving GeForce RTX an incredible experience, with accelerated performance, even more responsive gameplay, and enhanced image quality. With the launch of Season 3, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation joins the party, multiplying frame rates at 4K by an average of 4.9X:

At 2560x1440, a 3.7X average performance multiplier sees frame rates exceed 180 on the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, and reach up to 247 frames per second on the GeForce RTX 5090.

A 3.9X average performance boost at 1920x1080 sees a wide array of GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs hit high frame rates with every setting maxed out, and ray tracing enabled:

Death Relives Available Now, Featuring DLSS 4 With Multi Frame Generation

Nyctophile Studios’ Death Relives is a survival horror puzzle game that sees an ancient Mesoamerican deity stalk the player as they solve puzzles in Aztec settlements and surrounding areas, in an attempt to save their character’s mother from sacrifice at the hands of an Aztec god.

To bring the world of Death Relives to life, its developers have leveraged Unreal Engine 5.4 branch to incorporate cutting-edge tech that accelerates performance, and enhances image quality and immersion.

To maximize performance, DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution are available, and NVIDIA Reflex reduces PC latency, making gameplay more responsive.

With all of this technology, your Death Relives experience will be at its best when playing on a GeForce RTX GPU.
