SHIELD Controller provides a touch-sensitive region between the joysticks that acts as a volume control slider. Sliding up will increase the volume, and sliding down will decrease the volume. Note that if you have enabled IR mode for controlling your audio-visual equipment, then you need to ensure the SHIELD Controller is pointed directly at the equipment and without obstruction.
