S-GAME’s Phantom Blade Zero launches today at 7pm PT on Steam and the Epic Games Store. You play as Soul, a swordsman framed for murdering his master. Gravely wounded in the heart and left with just sixty-six days to live, he roams the Wulin alone and hunted, determined to unravel a conspiracy that has ensnared the martial world.

On GeForce RTX PCs and laptops and RTX Spark devices, you can enhance Phantom Blade Zero with immersive and realistic ray-traced and path-traced lighting, accelerated and enhanced by the complete suite of DLSS 4.5 technologies, including Ray Reconstruction and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

Like other recent RTX-enhanced releases, Phantom Blade Zero has received critical acclaim from reviewers, and PC reviews have once again highlighted the game-changing inclusion of DLSS and path tracing on GeForce RTX, and RTX Spark.

• “On my PC, equipped with an RTX 5090…the game ran like a dream” - The Outer Haven
• “With Path Tracing on, Phantom Blade Zero is one of the best-looking games on PC” - DSOGaming
• “NVIDIA’s RTX technologies really bring out the best in the game.” - WCCFTech
• “A GOTY contender with combat that looks as good as it feels” - GamesRadar

NVIDIA has teamed up with S-GAME Studio and S-GAME Publishing to bring PC-exclusive path tracing enhancements to Phantom Blade Zero, building upon the fidelity of the game’s extensive suite of ray-traced effects.

Path tracing offers a unified lighting solution, with greater levels of detail and additional effects, further improving image quality and immersion.

With path tracing activated in Phantom Blade Zero, Reservoir-based Spatiotemporal Importance Resampling Global Illumination (ReSTIR GI) replaces Unreal Engine’s hardware-accelerated, ray-traced Lumen Global Illumination, adding more accurate bounced lighting and color bleeding between surfaces. ReSTIR GI also provides finer indirect shadowing and occlusion, bringing greater detail and depth to the lighting, helping objects appear more naturally grounded in the scene.

Across Phantom Blade Zero, ray-traced reflections enhance the appearance of suitably reflective surfaces, and more subtlety, the entire environment. Off-screen detail will be accurately reflected at high levels of detail, objects will self-reflect detail, and game elements will look and feel more realistic and grounded.

Ray-traced shadows greatly enhance Phantom Blade Zero’s environments adding accurate contact hardening and softening shadows, most noticeably for foliage and terrain, elevating image quality significantly.

Ray-traced water caustics are only available with path tracing enabled. Caustics simulate the real-life effect whereby light rays are reflected and refracted by water, curved surfaces and objects, creating unique patterns of light on nearby surfaces, such as river beds. With path tracing, the effect can be accurately and realistically recreated, subtly enhancing realism and immersion in Phantom Blade Zero.

To ensure path-traced lighting looks its absolute best, Phantom Blade Zero includes support for DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, enabling all GeForce RTX gamers to receive the definitive path-traced experience.

DLSS Ray Reconstruction is a neural rendering technique that replaces traditional hand-tuned denoisers, using an NVIDIA supercomputer-trained AI network to generate higher-quality pixels in the noisy parts of a path-traced frame where rays were not sampled. The model unifies denoising and Super Resolution into a single model, intelligently analyzing temporal and spatial engine data to reconstruct sharper, more stable, and higher-fidelity high-resolution images.

Enabling Phantom Blade Zero’s path tracing automatically activates DLSS Ray Reconstruction on GeForce RTX GPUs, enhancing the fidelity of path tracing and accelerating frame rates with its unified Super Resolution AI model.

For players wanting higher, faster, smoother frame rates, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation enables players to activate up to 6X Frame Generation, or to have the X factor adjusted on the fly to hit a player-selected target frame rate, based on the demands of the current scene, optimizing frame rates and PC latency.

Using a fixed 6X multiplier, GeForce RTX 5090 owners will accelerate frame rates by up to 9X, giving them the definitive Phantom Blade Zero experience. With setting maxed and path tracing enabled, gameplay runs at up to 320 frames per second, and up to 240 frames per second on the GeForce RTX 5080, enabling players to max out the capabilities of today’s best 120Hz and 240Hz OLED displays.

At 2560x1440, GeForce RTX 50 Series owners accelerate frame rates by an average of 7.8X when using DLSS 4.5 with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Ray Reconstruction, and the other technologies and hardware accelerating and optimizing path-traced performance in the background. GeForce RTX 5090 players can experience max setting, path-traced Phantom Blade Zero at up to 450 frames per second, with GeForce RTX 5080 performance hitting 320 FPS, GeForce RTX 5070 Ti performance up to 300 FPS, and GeForce RTX 5070 performance up to 240 FPS.

At 1920x1080, our suite of RTX technologies boost frame rates by an average of 7.9X, enabling GeForce RTX gamers to play max setting path-traced Phantom Blade Zero at up to 600 frames per second. On the GeForce RTX 5080, frame rates exceed 430 FPS, on the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 410 FPS, the GeForce RTX 5070, 350 FPS, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, 270 FPS, and the GeForce RTX 5060, 230 FPS.

On GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, 6X Multi Frame Generation, and other RTX enhancements enable on-the-go, High preset, path-traced, 2560x1440 Phantom Blade Zero gameplay at up to 280 frames per second.

And at 1920x1080, GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs can run Phantom Blade Zero with High preset path tracing at up to 390 frames per second.

NVIDIA Reflex is a game-changer, reducing PC latency on RTX Spark and GeForce graphics cards, desktops and laptops so your actions occur quicker, giving you a competitive edge in multiplayer matches, and making single-player titles more responsive and enjoyable.

Since its debut in September 2020, NVIDIA Reflex has reduced PC latency in hundreds of games, including virtually all of the most popular competitive shooters, over 90% of GeForce gamers have activated Reflex, and those gamers enhanced over 10 billion hours of gameplay in one year alone.

In Phantom Blade Zero, GeForce RTX and RTX Spark gamers can decrease PC latency in the game’s high-speed, high intensity battles by up to 49%, making gameplay even more responsive and thrilling.

For an optimum experience in Phantom Blade Zero, with the high frame rates shown above, be sure to download and install our Phantom Blade Zero Game Ready Driver from our website or the NVIDIA app.
