Instructor-Led Training Review Criteria

Submissions must use GPUs and must demonstrate a significant innovation or improvement in GPU computing.

Training Review Process

The GTC Content Committee will review, rate, and select submissions based on the:

Relevance and timeliness of presentation to GPU computing
Presenter credentials and expertise in the subject matter
Platform required for course: 1) Amazon's AWS GPU Instances (connection options), 2) A queue-submission-based cluster, 3) the Jetson TX1 DevKit
Level of course self-containment: Instructions, code, documentation should all be available to attendees in one package

WHAT TO SUBMIT?

You will be required to provide the following information in your submission:

Submitter's Contact Information: Email and phone number
Session Title: Maximum of 12 words. Should be enticing and a concise description of what your course is about.
Platform Required for Course: Choice of Amazon GPU instances: cg1.4xlarge, g2.2xlarge, g2.8xlarge; GPU Cluster (access with SSH only, job submission-based); Tegra TX1 DevKit
Audience Level: Beginner; Intermediate; Advanced.
- Beginner: Limited or no prior knowledge or experience is required. Session helps attendees learn the fundamentals of a subject area.
- Intermediate: Some knowledge of the subject area is required. Session helps attendees enhance their knowledge of a subject area.
- Advanced: Greatly developed knowledge of the subject area is required. Session helps attendees heighten their already advanced knowledge of a subject area.
Required Prerequisites: List any specific knowledge attendees must have in order to take this course.
Topics: Select up to three topics from a dropdown list of pre-approved topic areas.
Course Description: Maximum 800 characters (approximately 500 words) - for use on the online scheduler, mobile app and other online marketing tools. The Course Description must explain what attendees will learn how to do and what problems they will learn to solve as a result of attending your course. The course must show people HOW to do things, not just provide a tour of features.
Extended Abstract & Results: Maximum 3000 characters (approximately 500 words) – provide details on what your course is about including what attendees will learn to do from your course to help the Content Committee better understand the technical merits of your course. The Extended Abstract will not be published.
Instructor's Information: Email and phone number (can be different from submitter's information)
Instructor Biography: Maximum 100 words
Instructor Headshot: No less than 1800x2700px and no more than 2400x3000px. Maximum file size: 32 MB.
Permission to Webcast and/or Record: A confirmation of whether or not you agree to be recorded and/or webcast is needed.
Instructor Agreement: To be considered for a course the Presenter Agreement must be completed.
Previous Experiences Teaching Course: List the date(s) and venue(s) this course has been taught.
Supporting Material: provide to assist the Content Review Committee in better understanding your work. Provide supplemental information that supports your session proposal. Additional materials may include white papers, research work, videos, images, demos, proof of concept, etc.
