A: Today we are announcing that the NVIDIA® GeForce® 7300 LE graphics processing unit (GPU), previously available only to OEMs and system builders, is now available in e-tail and retail. The GeForce 7300 LE GPU delivers the award-winning GeForce7 Series architecture and performance, as well as NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology at mainstream price points.

Q: GeForce 7300 LE is a product you already had. Why are you moving it from system builder-only status and making it available in retail now?
A: We have sold a lot of GeForce 7300 LE GPUs in the OEM channel since its introduction because OEMs want their customers to be ready for the transition to the new Microsoft® Windows Vista™ operating system. The same logic that makes the GeForce 7300 LE a great GPU for those customers applies to retail customers also. Many end users are saddled with integrated graphics and will be looking for an inexpensive upgrade to make sure their PCs are ready for Windows Vista. GeForce 7300 LE is the ideal solution for those customers.

Q: Where does this fall in your product line-up? What does it replace?
A: The GeForce 7300 LE GPU is a mainstream product. It is positioned above the GeForce 6200 GPUs, and below the GeForce 7600 GPUs.

Q: What happens to the GeForce 6200 GPUs?
A: GeForce 6200 GPUs will continue to ship.

Q: How many pixel pipes does the GeForce 7300 LE have?
A: The GeForce 7300 LE has 4 pixel pipes.

Q: How many vertex shaders does the GeForce 7300 LE have?
A: The GeForce 7300 LE has 3 vertex shaders.

Q: What is the core clock of the GeForce 7300 LE?
A: The GeForce 7300 LE has a 450MHz core clock.

Q: What is the memory clock of the GeForce 7300 LE?
A: The memory clock is determined by the add-in card partner. However you will see a number of GeForce 7300 LE-based graphics cards with a memory clock at 333MHz.

Q: Is this a hard launch with immediate availability?
A: Yes, GeForce 7300 LE-based add-in cards are available today.

Q: Does the GeForce 7300 LE have NVIDIA® PureVideo™ technology?
A: Yes, like all GeForce 6 and 7 Series GPUs, the GeForce 7300 LE features PureVideo technology.

Q: Will there be passive versions for home theater PCs?
A: Yes, you will see GeForce 7300 LE-based cards with passive cooling from our add-in card partners.

Q: Does the GeForce 7300 LE support NVIDIA® TurboCache™ technology?
A: Yes.

Q: What is the physical memory for the GeForce 7300 LE?
You will see a lot of GeForce 7300 LE-based cards with 128MB of on-board memory, supporting 256MB of memory in a 512MB system. You will also see GeForce 7300 LE-based cards with 256MB of on-board memory that support 512MB of memory in a 1GB system.
