BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment's strong support for the PC continues with the future release of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. And like Tekken 7 and the upcoming SOULCALIBUR VI, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has been built in Unreal Engine 4, ensuring a wide variety of options and native support for 4K. But before we get into all that, check out our exclusive first play 4K gameplay, captured by NVIDIA in a work-in-progress development build on a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, that’s combined with a fresh new developer interview about the PC version of the game:

In our gameplay footage, settings are on max, with options for Anti-Aliasing, Bloom, Effects, Motion Blur, Post-Processing, Screen Space Reflections, and Shadows all cranked up. Additionally, there's a built-in option for Resolution Scaling, enabling you to play at 4K quality on a 1920x1080 monitor; the option to uncap the framerate; and plenty of settings for Flight Systems, controllers, flight sticks, keyboard and mouse control, and key remapping. In other words, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown has everything you need to tailor the experience to your liking.

If you lack a high-flying GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment has prepared a set of Recommended system requirements, showing you the hardware required to play Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown at max settings at 1920x1080, at 60 FPS or more.

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Minimum System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core Intel Core i3-7100, or equivalent
  • GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 (Legacy GPU: GeForce GTX 750 Ti, or equivalent)
  • RAM: 4GB
  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (64-bit versions)
  • HDD: 60GB free space
  • DirectX: Version 11

Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Recommended System Requirements

  • CPU: Intel Core i5-7500, or equivalent
  • GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 3GB, or equivalent, or higher
  • RAM: 8GB
  • OS: Windows 7, Windows 8.1 or Windows 10 (64-bit versions)

These recommendations are backed-up by our own testing, which shows the GeForce GTX 1060 running at 100 FPS at max settings at 1920x1080, and even performing at 60 FPS at 2560x1440. For 4K, however, you’ll need a GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, RTX 2080 Ti, or RTX 2080 to get a rock-solid, 60 FPS+ experience.
