Fortnite Game Ready Driver Released

By Andrew Burnes on January 08, 2018 | Drivers

Our new GeForce Game Ready driver is optimized for Fortnite, and adds support for ShadowPlay Highlights to the popular game. In addition, the new Game Ready driver is a required update for anyone wanting to use the newly-unveiled NVIDIA Freestyle, and our new NVIDIA Ansel enhancements. To download and install, simply fire up GeForce Experience and click the "Drivers" tab.

Game Ready For Fortnite

Epic's Fortnite is a game of two halves: the first features a PvE co-op campaign for gamers who love building massive forts and playing cooperatively; and the second is all about PvP, putting 100 players in a Battle Royale fight to the death.

On January 10th, a Fortnite update will add our ShadowPlay Highlights technology to the Battle Royale PvP mode, ensuring every kill, death, and Victory Royale moment is captured and saved, and presented for easy sharing at the end of each match.

To activate ShadowPlay Highlights in Fortnite Battle Royale, you’ll need to update to the Fortnite ShadowPlay Highlights patch on January 10th, and have GeForce Experience 3.12 and our new Game Ready driver installed. Once everything’s ready, launch Fortnite and select Battle Royale. GeForce Experience will ask if you wish to enable ShadowPlay Highlights - after you click "Yes", Highlights will automatically be recorded without any further input.

At the end of your match, select the “Highlights” button on your lower right. This will showcase the Highlights captured, and from this screen you can select which Highlights to save to your Gallery, and which to share immediately to Facebook or YouTube.

Introducing New Ways To Customize, Capture and Share Your Gameplay

At CES 2018, the year's biggest tech show, we've announced new ways to customize, capture and share your gameplay using GeForce Experience. The most exciting of these is NVIDIA Freestyle, which enables you to apply real-time post-processing filters that change the look and feel of supported games.

Using Freestyle you can make subtle changes that make game elements easier to see, or completely change a game's appearance to meet your personal preferences. Learn more in our NVIDIA Freestyle announcement.

We also announced new enhancements for NVIDIA Ansel, which enable you to add even more customizations to game photos captured with Ansel in supported games. Learn more here.

To use these features in supported games, download and install the latest version of GeForce Experience, and today's new Game Ready driver.
