Remedy Entertainment’s CONTROL Resonant is launching on September 24th at 7am PT! In the sequel to the multi-award-winning CONTROL, you’ll explore the expansive zones of a ravaged Manhattan, overrun by the corrupting influences of the chaotic Hiss, invasive micro-organism, the Mold, and other twisted paranatural threats.
Take control of Dylan Faden, brother of FBC Director Jesse Faden, as he bids to comprehend and contain the dangers that have spilled beyond the confines of the Oldest House to tear our world apart, and to unlock the full potential of his paranatural abilities.
On GeForce RTX PCs and laptops, and GeForce NOW, you can enhance CONTROL Resonant with more immersive and realistic path-traced lighting, accelerated and enhanced by the complete suite of DLSS 4.5 technologies, including Ray Reconstruction and Dynamic Multi Frame Generation.

Remedy Entertainment have combined engrossing gameplay with spectacular graphics since their 1995 founding. In 2016, Remedy launched their first Northlight Engine game, advancing the state of the art in graphics ever since.
The release of CONTROL in 2019 saw the introduction of ray tracing to Northlight, and to this day CONTROL remains one of the most impressive ray-traced titles available. 2023’s Alan Wake 2 raised the bar for graphics once more, upgrading Northlight with more detailed, more realistic, and more immersive path tracing.
CONTROL Resonant takes everything Remedy has learned from the two earlier titles and applies that to the new game’s twisted city, and its occasional return to the offices of the FBC.

Path-traced direct and indirect illumination ensures all of CONTROL Resonant’s lighting is physically accurate, mirroring the appearance and behavior of light in reality. Environments and locales will realistically brighten and darken with changing lighting conditions, textures and materials react as they should to light and shadow, and the effects caused by the enemy Hiss become even more spectacular, dramatically affecting gameplay.
Across CONTROL Resonant, path-traced reflections will enhance the appearance of suitably reflective surfaces, and more subtlety, the entire environment. Off-screen detail will be accurately reflected at high levels of detail, objects will self-reflect detail, and all game elements will look and feel more realistic and grounded.
Outdoors, path tracing leads to accurate, higher-fidelity shadowing, ambient occlusion shadowing, and bounced global illumination lighting, creating more immersive and realistic sights in Remedy’s paranatural warped Manhattan.
Indoors, path-traced lighting is transformative, bouncing bright office light, reflecting detail on shiny floors, naturally shadowing around office clutter and other man-made objects, and enhancing shadows created from aforementioned lights. If you were amazed by the benefits of ray tracing in CONTROL’s offices, CONTROL Resonant’s path tracing takes everything to the next level.
To ensure path-traced lighting looks its absolute best, CONTROL Resonant is launching with DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, enabling all GeForce RTX gamers to receive the definitive path-traced experience.
DLSS Ray Reconstruction is a neural rendering technique that replaces traditional hand-tuned denoisers, using an NVIDIA supercomputer-trained AI network to generate higher-quality pixels in the noisy parts of a path-traced frame where rays were not sampled. The model unifies denoising and Super Resolution into a single model, intelligently analyzing temporal and spatial engine data to reconstruct sharper, more stable, and higher-fidelity high-resolution images.

Enabling CONTROL Resonant’s path tracing (“Ray Tracing Preset: Ultra” in-game) automatically activates DLSS Ray Reconstruction on GeForce RTX GPUs, enhancing the fidelity of path tracing and accelerating frame rates with its unified Super Resolution AI model.
For players wanting higher, faster, smoother frame rates, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation enables players to activate up to 6X Frame Generation, or to have the X factor adjusted on the fly to hit a player-selected target frame rate, based on the demands of the current scene, optimizing frame rates and PC latency.
Using a fixed 6X multiplier, GeForce RTX 5090 owners will receive the definitive CONTROL Resonant experience, with Ultra-preset path-traced settings at up to 320 frames per second, while GeForce RTX 5080 frame rates accelerate up to 220 FPS, perfect for today’s 120Hz and 240Hz 4K OLEDs.
At 2560x1440, GeForce RTX 5090 owners can experience Ultra preset, path-traced CONTROL Resonant at up to 380 frames per second thanks to DLSS Ray Reconstruction, Dynamic Multi Frame Generation, and the other technologies accelerating and optimizing path-traced performance in the background. On the GeForce RTX 5080, frame rates run up to 270 FPS, and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti frame rates up to 240 FPS.
At 1920x1080, our suite of RTX technologies enable GeForce RTX gamers to play Ultra preset, path-traced CONTROL Resonant at up to 480 frames per second. On the GeForce RTX 5080, frame rates exceed 370 FPS, on the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, 335 FPS, the GeForce RTX 5070, 250 FPS, and the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti, 215 FPS.
On GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPUs, DLSS Ray Reconstruction, 6X Multi Frame Generation, and other RTX enhancements enable on-the-go, High preset, path-traced, 2560x1600 CONTROL Resonant gameplay at up to 340 frames per second. On a GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, performance is just shy of 300 frames per second, and on a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU, a hairs-breath away from 250 frames per second.
At 1920x1080, all benchmarked GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs can run CONTROL Resonant with High preset path tracing at over 260 frames per second, with performance rapidly increasing, all the way up to 490 frames per second on a GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU.
