November brings the release of a number of new app updates to boost your creativity including Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta Keyshot 10, Notch, Topaz Video Enhance AI, BorisFX Continuum 2021, Red Giant Trapcode Suite 16 and Magic Bullet Suite 14.

Our latest NVIDIA Studio Driver ensures creators get the best performance and support for these new applications.

DaVinci Resolve 17 Beta Out Now

DaVinci Resolve 17, the latest release of the leading editing, colour correction, visual effects, motion graphics and audio post production solution, is finally available as a free public beta to download today.

Included in over 300+ new features are DaVinci Neural Engine AI capabilities such as:

  • Magic Mask - use quick brushstrokes to automatically create mattes to isolate and track body parts or objects.
  • Smart Reframe - automatically detect and track objects of interest with automatic transforms to keep them in frame.
  • Scene Cut Detection - analyses content on the timeline and applies blade edits to isolate each scene.

Combined with new HDR grading tools, redesigned primary colour controls, airlight audio improvements, bin sorting and metadata clip previews, Resolve 17 is a big upgrade.

These powerful editing tools, AI-accelerated by RTX Tensor Cores, save video editors valuable time by eliminating tedious, repetitive work.

Keyshot 10 Performance Boosts

KeyShot maximises performance with seamless, one-click GPU rendering, optimised material, lighting, and output capabilities that takes full advantage of your NVIDIA RTX GPU.

Keyshot 9 was already blazing fast thanks to RT Core-accelerated ray tracing and Optix 7 integration. Keyshot 10 adds to that foundation with rendering speeds up to 23% faster than the previous version.

If you haven’t switched to GPU rendering you’re missing out. Rendering on an NVIDIA RTX A6000 is 8x faster than a top-of-the-line 64-core CPU!

NVIDIA RTX GPUs provide the highest quality and speed for the most photorealistic images

Along with insanely fast rendering speeds, RTX-acceleration enables interactive ray tracing in the viewport, allowing for users to quickly see their visions come to life.

Incredible Video Upscaling From Topaz Video Enhance AI

Topaz Video Enhance AI brings stunning new features and enhancements, starting with Tensor Core-accelerated video enhancement.

Trained on thousands of videos and multiple input video frames, Topaz Video Enhance AI enlarges and enhances footage up to 8K resolution with true details and motion consistency. This is the most powerful video upscaling software Topaz has ever released.

Incredible upscaling, 2-4x faster on NVIDIA RTX GPUs.

The latest software includes performance optimisations to reduce overhead, improve model load times, and reduce VRAM usage.

Notch Enables Face Motion Tracking

Previously available in beta, Notch has now added the NVIDIA Broadcast Engine AR software development kit to their full release.

Users have access to more Tensor Core accelerated AI features from Face Mesh, Face Landmark Tracking, to Face Tracking — all with greatly reduced processing times while improving quality and stability compared to CPU-based solutions.

The low-latency and high-responsiveness of these Tensor Core-accelerated AI features makes it possible to use in interactive installations, live broadcasts and virtual production workflows.

BorisFX Continuum 2021

Dubbed the “swiss army knife of plugins,” BorisFX Continuum provides nearly 350 creative effects in 20 categories.

81 new filters have been added to the set, all 100% GPU accelerated via OpenCL.

The BCC Particle Illusion plugin converts from a 2D particle system to a full 3D system using OpenGL.

81 new filters simulate real-world optical camera filters, specialised lenses and more.

In addition, the BCC Title Studio plugin includes new procedural noise and texture compositing features for improved C4D model rendering and generally improved texturing using OpenGL, again improving productivity.

Boris FX Mocha Pro 2021 Advances VFX with New PowerMesh Tracking

The Academy Award-winning team at Boris FX just released a major new version of Mocha Pro, the GPU accelerated planar tracking tool widely used in visual effects and post-production.

Mocha Pro 2021 now features PowerMesh, a unique new sub-planar tracking engine for organic and warped surface tracking, rotoscoping, and VFX.

Red Giant Trapcode Suite 16 Refractor

Trapcode Suite 16 brings the power of 3D particle systems directly into Adobe After Effects, using particle emitters to create fire, water, smoke, snow and other organic visual effects.

Trapcode Particular gets a full refractor update adding more ways to simulate complex particle effects such as combining air and bounce physics or having the wind effects respond according to the mass, size and air resistance of the particles for more realistic simulations.

New Tools Coming To Red Giant Magic Bullet Suite 14

Magic Bullet Suite 14 is a complete set of plugins that optimises video footage directly on the editing timeline, balancing shots with powerful colour adjustments, even beyond colour correction with accurate simulations of lens filters and film stocks.

Colour correction directly on the timeline with Magic Bullet Suite 14

In Magic Bullet Looks, Colour Remap is the most powerful colour tool ever built by Red Giant, allowing editors to easily map any colour to any other colour, while seeing results in a 3D colour cube.

Meanwhile in Magic Bullet Colorista V, the render engine has been updated with new controls such as the Clarity control, and Highlight and Shadow region control, to ease the process of upgrading a video to HDR.
