The open-source RTX Remix toolkit is your workspace for creating RTX mods for classic games. Import game captures, enhance assets, relight scenes with path-traced lighting, and watch updates appear live in the viewport. It even responds to Remix-detected game events—so your graphics react as the game changes.
High Quality Assets and Materials
Breathes new life into classic games with highly detailed meshes, 4K/8K textures, and a physically accurate PBR material system with support for parallax occlusion mapping and subsurface scattering. Underpinning everything is the industry-standard Universal Scene Description (OpenUSD) framework, which allows assets to travel seamlessly between RTX Remix and popular 3D tools, like Blender and Adobe Substance.
Generative AI Texture Tools
Built-in generative AI texture tools analyze low-resolution textures from classic games, generate physically accurate materials—including normal and roughness maps—and upscale the resolution by up to 8X. Plus, you can integrate RTX Remix with ComfyUI, giving you access to 1,000s of generative AI models to try.
Advanced Path-Traced Particles
RTX Remix redefines how every particle lights the world around you. Spawn, animate, customize, and control hundreds of thousands of physics-based, path-traced particles that cast reflections and shadows with breathtaking realism.
RTX Remix Runtime
The RTX Remix runtime dynamically replaces original assets with modded assets at playback while injecting RTX and neural rendering technologies, like path tracing, DLSS 4.5, Neural Radiance Cache, Remix Logic, and Reflex. Quickly tune mods in real time with the in-game overlay and capture assets from the game to modify in the RTX Remix creator app. The runtime is open-sourced on GitHub for the modding community to contribute to and has an SDK developers can use to integrate it into any game.
