AION 2 is a next-generation MMORPG developed by NCSOFT, reimagining the original AION universe with a fresh approach. Powered by Unreal Engine 5, AION 2 delivers a highly immersive fantasy experience with high-end graphics, gameplay enhancements, new movement and fighting mechanics that incorporate gliding and flying, making large-scale and open-field battles more dynamic and exciting.
AION 2 launches simultaneously in Korea and Taiwan on November 19th, followed by a global release in 2026. At launch, AION 2 will include support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, and NVIDIA Reflex, for enhanced graphics performance and input responsiveness, giving GeForce RTX gamers the best possible experience in the massively multiplayer game.
At the GeForce Gamer Festival, hosted earlier today in Seoul, Korea, NCSOFT shared a new narrative trailer from the perspective of the Asmodians, showcasing their conflict against the Elyos, which is central to AION 2’s identity and story:
Developed in-house by Bigfire Games under NCSOFT, CINDER CITY (formerly Project LLL) is an open-world, cinematic tactical shooter set in a post-apocalyptic near-future Seoul. CINDER CITY depicts a dystopian post-apocalyptic world where humanity in the 21st century is diverted into an alternate timeline due to the arrival of future humans from the 23rd century, who have traveled back in time to prevent an impending catastrophe.
Players take on the role of a Knight from the 21st century, trained and enhanced by 23rd-century technology, experiencing a heroic journey to uncover the whereabouts of their missing daughter and reclaim the future of humanity.
As they navigate hostile environments, hijacking vehicles and mechs, they’ll face intense tactical combat and complex moral choices. The game offers a deeply immersive single-player narrative experience, alongside cooperative gameplay where survival depends on teamwork and strategy.
When CINDER CITY launches in 2026, there’ll be day-one support for DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, DLSS Frame Generation, and DLSS Super Resolution. Additionally, gamers can activate Unreal Engine 5 Lumen lighting, and enhanced ray-traced effects powered by NVIDIA’s extensive suite of RTX effects. Those who don’t have the latest hardware or are away from their gaming rig can also catch the game at launch on GeForce NOW.
At the GeForce Gamer Festival, NCSOFT shared a new cinematic trailer highlighting the key event that changed our world, leading to the events players will experience in CINDER CITY:
Multiplayer games build social connections and excitement through competition and cooperation. But players may not always have someone to play with, or might prefer learning at their own pace in a low-pressure environment. While many games use non-player characters (NPCs) as allies or opponents to supplement human players, these traditional NPCs are often too simple to offer the same meaningful engagement as a human player.
Leveraging NVIDIA ACE, a suite of AI models that power speech and intelligence, PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ new teammate, PUBG Ally, interacts with players and other characters, and navigates the environment like a real human. PUBG Ally is aware of its surroundings, adjusting its playstyle based on your commands and emergent situations, making human-like decisions to support you, looting items and fighting other combatants, all without continuous prompting from the player.
At the GeForce Gamer Festival, KRAFTON showcased PUBG Ally in a new video, before revealing that it will initially be part of a limited-time user test event in early 2026 via PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS Arcade, for players using English, Korean or Chinese.
PUBG Ally is a result of AI research and development at KRAFTON and NVIDIA, born from a desire to create the next generation of AI game characters that enable more meaningful and immersive engagements. PUBG Ally is a Co-Playable Character (CPC) technology combining NVIDIA ACE and KRAFTON’s own research to performantly run the necessary AI workloads on each player’s GeForce RTX GPU. Unlike an NPC, a CPC is an AI companion that can interact with gamers, equipped with the ability to understand and respond to game situations in a human-like manner.
Designed for two players, PUBG Ally understands and adapts to both voice and text inputs—including instructions, casual comments, and exclamations. And PUBG Ally has full understanding of PUBG-specific terminology, player lingo, map and item attributes, and more.
PUBG Ally’s initial test phase will enable KRAFTON to collect invaluable real-world feedback, aiding development and iteration ahead of a full-scale launch at a later date. For further information about the underlying technology, we recommend checking out this in-depth NVIDIA ACE article.
