What is SUMS?

Support, Updates, and Maintenance Subscriptions (SUMS) ensure that you have access to technical support, along with timely software patches, updates, and upgrades. While SUMS is included in your NVIDIA software subscription, it is a required one-year add-on if you choose a perpetual license.

NVIDIA virtual GPU software runs on NVIDIA® Tesla® GPUs based on the NVIDIA Pascal™ and Maxwell™ GPU architectures and is supported on all Pascal GPUs with the Tesla P6, and Tesla P40 recommended for enterprise deployment.

With 24 GB of framebuffer and 24 NVENC encoder sessions, it supports 24 virtual desktops (1 GB profile) or 12 workstations (2 GB profile). Tesla P40 enables organizations to virtualize both accelerated graphics and compute (CUDA and OpenCL) workloads for every vGPU. And supports eight different user profiles so virtual GPU resources can be efficiently provisioned to meet the needs of the user. The Tesla P40 is available in a wide variety of industry standard 2U servers.

 

NVIDIA® Tesla® M60: Tesla M60 is ideal for organizations deploying NVIDIA® Quadro® Virtual Data Center Workstation's (Quadro vDWS) and NVIDIA GRID™ Virtual PC (GRID vPC) across a range of use cases, from the most demanding design and visualization applications to the modern digital workplace. With 2 Maxwell processers, 16 GB of framebuffer and 36 NVENC encoder sessions, it supports up to 64 virtual desktops (512 MB profile) and 32 virtual workstations (1 GB profile). Tesla M60 provides flexibility to run multiple mixed profiles and is available across industry standard 2U servers, Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI), and public clouds.

Best for High Density

NVIDIA® Tesla® M10: Tesla M10 is designed for data centers needing graphics acceleration for high density, virtual desktop environments to meet the needs of the knowledge worker and the modern digital workplace. It is also ideal for organizations deploying additional infrastructure for disaster recovery and high availability due to business or regulatory requirements. It's a dual-slot PCI Express form factor for rack and tower servers capable of supporting up to 64 concurrent users (512 MB profile).

 

Best for Blade Servers & Converged Infrastructure

NVIDIA® Tesla® P6: Tesla P6 is designed for blade servers and supports multiple data center workloads including deep learning, HPC, and graphics virtualization for demanding workloads. It delivers higher graphics performance, improved energy efficiency and increased user density when compared to the Tesla M6. The Tesla P6 comes in a MXM form factor running at less than 90W for high-density data centers with blade servers and converged infrastructure and can support up to 16 concurrent users (1 GB profile).

 

NVIDIA® Tesla® M6: Tesla M6 is designed specifically for data centers virtualizing desktop graphics. It comes in a MXM form factor running at less than 100W for high-density data centers with blade servers and converged infrastructure and can support up to 16 concurrent users (512 MB profile).
