On GeForce RTX PCs and laptops, Resident Evil Requiem steps up from ray tracing to bleeding-edge path tracing, cranking the quality of effects and lighting to 11.

Path tracing accurately simulates light throughout an entire scene by sampling a wide range of potential light paths a singular ray can follow, improving precision, quality, and realism.

Shadows throughout Resident Evil Requiem’s creepy locales display accurate contact hardening and softening, with per-pixel precision, allowing for shadowing of minute details, the biggest enemies, and everything in between, elevating each scene.

Highly detailed path-traced reflections are rendered on suitably shiny surfaces, accurately simulating the effect of light bouncing multiple times, enabling you to see reflected characters, enemies and objects throughout Resident Evil Requiem.

And in general, more realistic rendering of light creates more realistic, believable scenes, where light naturally propagates, illuminates, and shadows, interacting with materials and models to elevate the appearance of every game element during every moment of Resident Evil Requiem’s campaign.

When path tracing is activated on GeForce RTX GPUs, DLSS Ray Reconstruction is automatically enabled, combining DLSS Super Resolution with advanced AI-powered denoising to accelerate frame rates and further enhance the fidelity of path traced effects.

GeForce RTX 50 Series owners can activate DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation, multiplying frame rates by up to 3X, compared to performance when using DLSS Ray Reconstruction and DLSS Super Resolution. And GeForce RTX 40 Series owners can activate DLSS Frame Generation to boost performance as well.
