Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Begins October 6: Get Ready With The Game Ready Driver, System Requirements and New Trailer

Battlefield 2042’s release is fast approaching, and to ensure everything’s ship shape, EA and DICE are running an Open Beta October 8th to 9th. But if you want even more time to enjoy the epic 128-player matches, full of only-in-Battlefield moments, GeForce Rewards is offering a chance to get early access to the Open Beta on October 6th! The Battlefield 2042 PC Open Beta is enhanced with NVIDIA Reflex, enabling several generations of NVIDIA GeForce users to reduce system latency, for a more responsive experience that may give you the competitive edge. To enable it, download and install our latest Game Ready driver, then head to Display > Video > “NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency” in-game.

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Pre-Load & Launch Times

The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta can be pre-loaded from Tuesday, October 5th, 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST.

If you have an Early Access key from pre-ordering, or from our GeForce Rewards giveaway detailed below, you can begin playing Wednesday, October 6th, at 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST.

Everyone else can start playing from Friday, October 8th, 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST.

The Battlefield 2042 Open Beta will conclude Sunday, October 10th, at 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST.

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Early Access Via GeForce Rewards

Ahead of the public Open Beta, GeForce Rewards is giving a limited number of Early Access Battlefield 2042 Open Beta keys to GeForce gamers with an active NVIDIA account (to be eligible, ensure you’ve opted-in to rewards on your NVIDIA profile page).

If you’re selected to receive an Early Access key, you’ll get a notification via GeForce Experience on October 5th. Follow the prompts to claim and redeem the key, and you can immediately start pre-loading, so you’re ready to play as soon as Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Early Access begins on October 6th at 00:00 PDT / 09:00 CEST. 

For those who didn’t get an early access key with GeForce Rewards, you’ll still be able to experience the game prior to its official release during the public Open Beta starting on October 8th. Or you can pre-order Battlefield 2042 via select retailers to get instant early access.
