Why is NVIDIA doing this?
NVIDIA is committed to provide the best possible user experience for our products and services. The best way to accomplish this is to design our products and validating design decisions with our actual users who will be using the product. Usability research will allow us to understand your needs.

What is the next step after I enroll?
Once you have enrolled, we will contact you if we have a usability study that matches you as a potential user of the product being evaluated.

Do I need to be using NVIDIA products in order to participate?
No, you do not need to be using, or own, any NVIDIA products in order to participate in the study.

Do I need any special skills in order to participate?
Not at all. We are only interested in evaluating the product, not your abilities.

Is there an age limit to participate in a usability study?
Yes. You have to be at least 18 years of age to participate in any type of a usability study or a survey.

How long does a usability session last?
Typically between 1 to 2 hours, depending on the type of the study.

Can I bring my cell phone for the session?
Yes, you can. However, you will be required to turn it off during the study.

Do I have to complete the given tasks during a session?
No, we are just interested in your feedback from using the product, irrespectively of task success

Can I opt out from the study session anytime I want?
Yes, at any time during the session. But you may not be eligible for your honorarium or gift we provide for taking part in the usability session.

What if I cannot make it to the session at the scheduled time?
Please inform us in advance if you cannot make it to the study at your scheduled time. We will try to reschedule your session if possible.

Who will watch the session?
Only NVIDIA employees and people involved in the development of the product will watch the session and recordings.

I do not live close to any of the NVIDIA usability labs. Can I still participate?
Yes, you can participate in our online surveys or remote usability studies conducted over the phone.

What is a remote usability study?
Remote usability studies are designed for our international users and US users who are not located close to any of our usability labs. The study process is the same. The only difference is that the session will be conducted over the phone.

What do I need in order to participate in a remote usability study?
You will just need your computer with a high-speed Internet connection (cable or DSL) and a telephone line (preferably landline) that can receive incoming calls.
