“Strong local customer support for Gelato is important to us and to our customers,” said Beth Loughney, general manager of the Digital Film Group at NVIDIA. “Our first Gelato resellers were carefully chosen for their knowledge of the digital film industry and for their established, positive reputations in their geographies. We believe that our customers will be in good hands with them.”
John Beritzhoff, president of Snader and Associates, said, “Adding Gelato to our product portfolio gives us the opportunity to bring hardware-accelerated rendering to our customer base. This will be a highly desirable feature for our users who are in constant pursuit of new ways to optimize productivity and visual quality.”
“As specialists in digital content creation who started out serving the post and broadcast markets, we immediately recognized the potential of Gelato and agreed it was a ‘must have’ product for our tool box,” said Paul Brown, managing director of Reality Computing Ltd. “Gelato is fully programmable and uses all the mainstream hardware advantages available, including floating point acceleration, a 64-bit architecture, PCI Express, and multithreading technologies. Its unique feature of harnessing GPU power for hardware-acceleration is a major departure from traditional rendering. We’re excited to bring Gelato to the UK and look forward to offering the DCC market a new generation of film rendering tools and services.”
