GeForce Experience Update Brings Ansel To Hundreds of Games

GeForce Experience is the essential companion to your GeForce graphics card and offers a convenient suite of powerful capture tools like NVIDIA Highlights, Ansel Photo Mode and Freestyle Game Filters.

With our latest update, version 3.16, we’re introducing Ansel RTX, a new NVIDIA Ansel enhancement that we announced alongside our GeForce RTX graphics cards. For all the details, read on.

Ansel RTX Brings Ansel To Hundreds of Games

Our beta release of Ansel RTX for GeForce GTX and GeForce RTX GPUs expands select Ansel Photo Mode features to hundreds of games, allowing you to add stackable filters, save in HDR format, and on GeForce RTX graphics cards, capture up to 8K resolution screenshots using AI Up-Res.

To enable Ansel RTX, go to “Settings” in GeForce Experience, select “Enable Experimental Features”, restart GeForce Experience if prompted, load a game marked with an asterix on our Supported Games page (but please note all the features of Ansel RTX may not be available in certain titles), and press Alt+F2 during gameplay to start Ansel Photo mode.

In a supported title, the Ansel user interface will load and you’ll see options like these, giving you ways to enhance your gameplay and snap screenshots:

AI Up-Res: Take Super Resolution Images Using AI

GeForce RTX graphics cards feature Tensor Cores, processors that power and accelerate AI features for gaming. Ansel RTX’s new feature, AI Up-Res, uses these Tensor Cores to apply AI-enhanced resolution scaling so you can save your NVIDIA Ansel RTX in-game photos at up to 8K:

To use AI Up-Res, press Alt+F2 to open the NVIDIA Ansel interface, select the “Super Resolution photo” Capture mode, and under “Method” choose “AI Up-Res”. Then adjust any other available options, and click “Snap” to save your picture to the Alt+Z GeForce Experience Gallery.
