Bob Poznanovich has been experimenting with digital music since the mid 1980's. “I use Lyric Studio in every project I do,” shares Bob. “...I wanted to write a song about a woman’s empowerment after a breakup, and Lyric Studio was especially helpful to me in creating the lyrics to More of Me ... from a woman’s perspective. It helped me produce new ideas, words, and phrases, as well as rhyme patterns.”

Grateful, Toccara Thomas

Houston-based singer/songwriter Toccara Thomas combines stunning melodies with infectious grooves to create a captivating, edgy sound, with a mission to inspire and encourage others. “LyricStudio goes above and beyond my expectations every time by helping to expand on my capacity for creative expression,” shares Toccara, “This definitely stops the term ‘writer's block’ in its tracks!”

Blink of an Eye, Halfy and Winks

Sarah (Halfy) is the mastermind behind each composition and Kayla Winkel (Winks) sings and creates the lyrics and melodies for their thought-provoking songs. “I have been using LyricStudio for a few months now, and...it really is so helpful... Retrograde, Karmn

Kwamar (“Karmn”) Bozeman is a California-based 26 year-old engineer/producer. In Duality, Joanie French writes about the struggles of creating and maintaining relationships and the idea of creating a fake personality to feel included. “LyricStudio has really helped me to unlock my creativity when it’s hard to access!” shares Joanie, “With its suggestions and rhyme ideas, I’ve been able to get through hard writer's block and create the art I know I’m capable of.”

Head up High, Mikeee

Michael (“Mikeee”) Bennett plays a wide array of instruments, including the piano, violin, guitar, ukulele, and drums. Plus, he produces beats for both himself and others. “LyricStudio is like that second writer..., that second person whispering lines or phrases in your ear to help finish what would have been difficult without [help].” shares Michael, “...You can change the randomness or wackiness of the line with just a slider and it actually comes up with what you want.”

If Tomorrow Never Comes, Glenn Shyne

If Tomorrow Never Comes came from Glenn Shyne’s reflection on life and death, resulting from the passing of his mother. “I use LyricStudio to enhance any phases that I come up with,” shares Glenn, “In my song If Tomorrow Never Comes, Lyric studio...changed [everything]. The lines that were generated worked perfectly with the phrases... [It] made the whole story of dying early reach a whole new level.”

The Last Goodbye, Sam Day

Samuel is an artist and producer from London who fuses singer-songwriter type lyrics with the energy of hip-hop/R&B music. “As an independent artist who writes and produces virtually everything by myself, I've found LyricStudio hugely helpful,” says Sam, “I tend to either start a song with an idea and then use LyricStudio to build on that, or I'll start making a beat and use LyricStudio to start me off with one of its intelligent suggestions and go from there.”

The Experience

This interactive experience allows you to create your own original lyrics. To begin, select (or enter) a couple of topics or choose a genre. The AI then repeatedly generates lyrical lines that reflect your unique style and topics. At any point, the user can select from or edit any of the suggestions, or enter their own material inspired by the AI's ideas.

The Process

LyricStudio consists of an ensemble of machine learning models designed specifically to generate original lyrics that reflect the unique style of any artist. The AI is highly attuned to the nuanced stylistic elements and topics found in any user provided text, allowing it to create original lyrical suggestions to expand the user’s creative horizons. The unique technology also lets artists expand to new genres, for example, through models that are specifically geared towards rap lyrics creation.

LyricStudio is designed to work with artists, going beyond “human in the loop” to what we call “computer in the loop.” Our aim is to support the human creative process and enable profound and lasting creative growth. Consequently, the human creator is always in full control when interacting with LyricStudio. The role of the AI is akin to that of a humble human expert, residing in the background to provide assistance, but never steal the spotlight.

Dr. Maya Ackerman, PhD. is an award-winning artificial intelligence expert, named "2020 Woman of influence” by the Silicon Valley Business Journal.
