NVIDIA Research

Academic Partnership Program

NVIDIA's Academic Research Team is dedicated to empowering and collaborating with professors and researchers at universities worldwide. We aim to inspire cutting-edge technological innovation and to find new ways of enhancing faculty research as well as the teaching and learning experience. We achieve this through a variety of initiatives and programs including:

  • Small scale hardware donations
  • Research funding for innovative projects
  • Graduate Fellowships
  • Working with faculty to develop curriculum through our CUDA Teaching Center Program
  • Providing access to developer forums, pre-released tools and drivers through the Developer Relations Website
  • Providing access to some of our award winning books, via donations or by making them freely available online

Please complete the online Hardware Request Form to request GPUs for research purposes. Requests are reviewed and notification takes place on a bi-weekly basis. If you have any questions, please send an email to UniversityPartnership@nvidia.com.

NVIDIA Academic Hardware donations are generally small "seeding" gifts intended to enable researchers to begin a new project and gain the preliminary results to support a larger proposal to other funding agencies. Our goal is "breadth-first" seeding; most donations are small equipment donations (generally one or two GPUs). Since NVIDIA does not make complete computer systems, we do not donate them. We also do not typically donate large quantities of equipment.  Please visit our CUDA Teaching Center Program for details on teaching lab equipment donations.

Research funding is by invitation only and designed to foster high level collaboration on specific research projects.

If you have any questions or have an urgent hardware donation request, please feel free to email us at UniversityPartnership@nvidia.com.
