NVIDIA® Tegra™ processors enable exceptionally rich and fluid 3D and advanced multimedia functionality, providing seamless access to a variety of features all through an intuitive user interface.

NVIDIA’s groundbreaking Tegra processors ship with an equally innovative set of software drivers to accelerate full, rich-media applications and compelling user interfaces. Software developers have tremendous flexibility to mix and match the awesome graphics and video power of the Tegra processors through the industry’s first full implementation of OpenKODE—the new, open standard that is inspiring the next generation of handheld experiences on Windows Mobile devices.

In an industry first, NVIDIA designed the Tegra processors to give each of multiple simultaneous applications its own “virtual GPU.” This vital evolution in media-acceleration sophistication has been combined with OpenKODE extensions from NVIDIA that enable user interfaces to take full advantage of graphics and video acceleration while providing sophisticated 3D transitions and navigation between multiple applications. NVIDIA is making a software developer kit with a re-usable collection of source code available to its customers and partners who are looking to significantly accelerate the development of advanced 3D user interfaces using the Tegra processors and OpenKODE.
