NVIDIA Graphics Technology Sweeps Maximum PC “Gear of the Year” Issue

SANTA CLARA, CA  — DECEMBER 6, 2001 — NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA) today announced that its family of GeForce™-branded Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) has been recognized in Maximum PC magazine’s annual “Gear of the Year” issue for its award-winning performance, technology leadership, and unmatched feature set.  In this special issue, PCs and add-in cards based on NVIDIA GeForce graphics technology, including the GeForce3™, GeForce2™ and GeForce2 Go GPUs, received a variety of editorial commendations including:

The Gear of the Year Issue also showcased the tremendous acceptance of NVIDIA GPUs by the high-end PC enthusiast community.  Of the 15 reader-submitted custom-built PCs selected as Maximum PC’s “Rigs of the Year”, all featured GPUs from the GeForce family, ranging from the top-of-the-line GeForce3 GPU to the mainstream GeForce 256 GPU.
