On Saturday, November 11th, 2006, hundreds of NVIDIA customers joined the Reality Tour in seven retail locations throughout North America for an exciting day of great prizes, head-to-head gaming, and awe-inspiring demonstrations of the new
NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800 GTX GPUs and nForce® 680i SLI MCPs. Up to 100 anxious people were waiting in line at each location before the store opened its doors to see if they were the lucky winner of the first of four GeForce 8800 GTS graphics cards from NVIDIA partners, which included EVGA, BFG Technologies, and XFX.
Gamers couldn't wait to get their hands on the new definitive gaming platform, and sign up lists for the one-on-one Electronic Arts
Battlefield 2142 mini-tournaments filled up quickly. Between the intense gaming action, hundreds of attendees were blown away by the NVIDIA technology demos of
'Adrianne' and 'Froggy'. Three more graphics cards were given away during the day to very thrilled and enthusiastic winners, many of whom traveled countless hours and hundreds of miles to attend the event.

NVIDIA enthusiasts and new customers alike spent the entire day in the store gaming, learning about the new hardware, and hoping to go home with a graphics card. For those lucky few, their wishes did come true. Not only did NVIDIA give away four graphics cards, but a few lucky winners also walked away with the awesome desktop systems that NVIDIA used to power its demos and Battlefield 2142.
Many thanks to our NVIDIA customers and fans, add-in-card partners, retail partners and employees, and the NVIDIA staff who helped make the Reality Tour such a resounding success.
